In 1967, Jan Baeke came to South Africa and started manufacturing ploughs with a local partner. The ploughs were modelled on his tried and tested range of ploughs from Belgium. After several years of testing and development, the renowned “Baeke” Ripper was launched. Many of the original rippers made by Jan, are still in use today. Further improvements were made in the 70’s and 80’s like the introduction of double rollers. Other implements were added to the "Baeke" range like the “Baeke Flex”. Later implements and equipment like the liquid fertilizer pumps and sprayers were developed and added to the range. Today "Baeke Industries" is the third generation of this family business to continue delivering innovative products and services to you, our customer , with a tradition spanning more than 50 years in the development of equipment and machinery for the South African agricultural sector.
